Every family gets the photos their child is in.
Upload the event once. Pixline finds the faces, you name the families, and each family gets one link to only their own photos — 13 photos, not 700.
- A link per family, no access code to type
- Save to a phone in one tap — no ZIP, no app
- A report that says who opened it and who never did
The fastest way to see it is a real gallery: open the demo event — access code DEMO-alvarez-family opens the Alvarez family's 13 photos, and nothing else.
One upload
Lincoln Elementary — 56 photos
Real numbers from the demo event running on staging. Open one of them
Scale check on the same staging cluster: a 200-photo event ran end to end in 3 minutes — 1,725 faces detected, 31 people clustered, 30 family links generated.

How it works
Upload the whole shoot
200 files in one session, four workers, per-file accounting on the server. A closed browser tab does not stop the upload, and a failed file can be retried without re-uploading the rest.
Pixline finds the people
Every face is detected and clustered into a person. You name the families. If the detector splits one child into two clusters, merging them is one click — and the family still gets one link.
Each family gets one link
The email says how many photos are waiting for them, the link opens their gallery with nothing to type, and the dashboard shows who opened it, who downloaded, and who never got the link at all.
Why not just Pixieset?
Pixieset is good at what it does — website builder, print store, CRM, ten years of polish. It is not built for an event with forty different families in it, because its unit of delivery is the gallery, and a gallery has no idea who is in a photo. That is not a missing feature you can add to it; it is a different delivery model.
| Event with 40 kids | Gallery platforms | Pixline |
|---|---|---|
| Who gets what | Everyone gets all 200 photos | Each family gets only their own |
| Getting the file onto a phone | ZIP of the whole gallery | 13 direct image links |
| Knowing who opened it | Download activity, per gallery | Per family, per photo |
| Commission on print sales | 15% on the free tier | 0% |
If you shoot weddings or real estate, a gallery platform is the right tool. Pixline is for the events where the people in the photos are not the people buying them.
Same argument, different platform: ShootProof, SmugMug, Zenfolio, Captura.
Captura is a different animal: it is the software high-volume school and sports photographers actually run, and it has face matching. It matches photos to subject records that must already exist. Pixline creates the person from the photos.
